Teaching Methodology

St. Lawrence College provides very conducive learning environment that emphasizes on the functional interactions and interrelatedness so that they can explore themselves beyond textbooks. Students are always encouraged to participate in group discussions and case studies. Ample project work is assigned to them besides regular class-works, assignments. They make presentations in the class individually and in group. Everything we do at St. Lawrence is based on “PUTTING STUDENTS FIRST”  so the students here can have a solid foundation in critical skills of thinking, communicating and problem solving.

“Innovative students’ centered teaching techniques” is applied as a teaching methodology. In addition to the formal class, workshops, seminars and talks programs are held frequently on various emerging subjects and issues. Use of multimedia, interactions with teachers, students, administration and parents are held time and again that creates conducive learning environment and blossom their creative potentialities.

Library

The college maintains an adequate collection and up-dated library with text and reference books, novels, magazines, periodicals to facilitate in the process of teaching and learning.

 
Computer & Internet

The college has well-equipped computer lab with Internet facility. This is an opportunity for the students to do research and project works. Students will be provided computer course as per HSEB syllabus for class XI and XII.

Laboratories

The college is furnished with well-equipped laboratory for physics, chemistry and biology. The students are expected to utilize the laboratory effectively and wisely.

Extra Curricular Activities (ECA)

ECA is an internal part of student life. For the physical and mental development of the students, different intra college and inter college games and tournaments are organized or even taken for the participation. Except games and tournaments, various other programs such as talent shows, farewell programs, literary competitions, debate programs, educational excursions, tours, field visits are designed by the college to promote their hidden talents.
